CARE
Childspace provides licensed day care services. We provide care for infants (newborn to 18 months), toddlers (18 months to 2½ years), pre-school (2½ years to 4 years), and kindergarten /school-age children (4 years to 12 years)
Where demand warrants we provide before- and after-school care to complement all-day kindergarten.
In the summer months, children in our kindergarten- and school-age programmes are cared for in all-day, day-camp settings.
Although we do not provide care for all age groups at all of our centres, we endeavor to accommodate children within our centres to the best of our abilities in compliance with the licenses and policies approved by our partners in the public sector.
- All of our centres are located within schools of the Toronto District Catholic School Board however our programs are not religiously based.
All of our centres are within walking distance of subway stations on the TTC’s Bloor-Danforth Line.
Our quality of care is subject to review by inspectors from the Ministry of Education’s Early Learning Division.
Childspace is a service contractor to the City of Toronto, and we are able to provide care to families with subsidies where availability exists.
All staff at Childspace are RECE- or ECA-accredited. In many cases they bring years of experience and professional training to their roles. Childspace encourages continuous professional training for the child care professionals on its staff.
Childspace also participates in programmes providing work experience to trainee care-providers from accredited educational institutions.
In addition to accreditation, all staff at Childspace are subject to background checks in compliance with our policies and the policies of our public sector partners.
